David Strang

Chief Executive Officer and Director

Mr. Strang and Mr. Dunn formed the Company in May 2016. Mr. Strang serves as the Chief Executive Officer and as a director of the Company. Mr. Strang previously served as a director, President and Chief Executive Officer of Lumina Copper Corp. which was sold to First Quantum Minerals Limited in August 2014.  Mr. Strang also served as a director, President and Chief Executive Officer of Lumina Royalty Corp. (sold to Franco Nevada Corporation in 2011), Global Copper Corp. (sold to Teck Resources in 2008), and Lumina Resources Corp. (sold to Western Copper Corp. in 2006).  Prior to this, Mr. Strang served as President of Regalito Copper Corp. (sold to Pan Pacific in 2006), and Vice President, Corporate Development of Northern Peru Copper Corp. (sold to China Minmetals and Jiangxi Copper in 2008) and (the original) Lumina Copper Corp. Mr. Strang has more than 25 years of corporate finance experience, particularly in the areas of corporate and asset valuation, and has more than 15 years of experience as an officer and director.  Mr. Strang holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Earth Sciences from Stanford University.

Eduardo De Come

CEO of Ero Brazil

Mr. De Come currently serves as CEO of Ero Brasil. He previously held the role of CFO of MCSA from 2013 to 2022. Mr. De Come has more than 30 years of experience in finance management. He has spent the last 17 years working for companies in the commodities sector including biofuels agribusiness and mining. Mr. De Come holds a bachelor in Economics and a Master Degree in Finance from Universidade de São Paulo - USP and a MBA from University of Manchester.

Makko DeFilippo

President and Chief Operating Officer

Mr. DeFilippo currently serves as the President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company. Mr. DeFilippo joined the Company in 2017 as Vice President, Corporate Development and supported the Company through its initial public offering. He was subsequently promoted to the role of President of the Company in January 2021. Prior to joining Ero Copper, Mr. DeFilippo was a Director, Corporate Finance within FTI Consulting Inc.’s Global Mining Advisory Practice. Mr. DeFilippo holds a M.Sc. in Metallurgical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and a B.Sc. in Geological Engineering from the University of Arizona.

Wayne Drier

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Drier is the Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Mr. Drier is a seasoned finance executive with 25 years of financial reporting, corporate finance and capital markets experience within the global mining sector. He has worked across a wide range of commodities and jurisdictions and has been part of a number of significant M&A transactions. He has previously held senior executive roles at Asanko Gold Inc. (Executive, Corporate Development), Coalspur Mines Limited (Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Development), Mantra Resources Limited (Commercial Executive), Norilsk Nickel International (Head of Business Development) and BHP Billiton Limited (Vice President, Commercial). Mr. Drier holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Science degree from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.

Michel (Mike) Richard

Chief Geological Officer

Mr. Richard is the Chief Geological Officer of the Company. He has more than 30 years of experience in the mining industry specializing in the discovery, evaluation and development of copper, zinc, polymetallic and gold deposits. Previously, Mr Richard worked with Lundin Mining Corporation as Director of Exploration and New Business, Latin America and Teck Exploracion Minera Chile as General Manager.

Gelson Batista

SVP, Operations

Mr. Batista currently serves as Senior Vice President, Operations of the Company. Mr. Batista brings over 25 years of extensive, multi-national mining experience to the Company. Throughout his career, Mr. Batista has held diverse technical, operational, and senior leadership roles at mining operations and development projects around the world. His career encompasses technical and project roles at Rio Tinto in Australia and London, as well as with leading engineering firms and technology companies in Canada and South America. Most recently, Mr. Batista served as ArcelorMittal’s Mining Chief Technology Officer, in London, responsible for leading technical services, global exploration and innovation across the group, and was then appointed to the role of Chief Operating Officer Mining and Executive Director for ArcelorMittal's integrated mining and steel operations in Central Asia. Mr. Batista holds a degree in mining engineering from the Federal University of Ouro Preto in Minas Gerais.

Deepk Hundal

SVP, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary

Mr. Hundal serves as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of the Company. He joined the Company in July 2017. Previous roles have included General Counsel of Retirement Concepts Seniors Services Ltd., one of the largest seniors’ care providers in western Canada, Vice-President, Legal of Elgin Mining Ltd. and Vice-President, Legal and Corporate Secretary of Aura Minerals Inc., which he joined in 2014, 2012 and 2007, respectively. Prior thereto, he worked with Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP (now Dentons LLP), a large national Canadian firm, in the areas of corporate, commercial, securities and mining law and for Borden Ladner Gervais LLP, a large national Canadian firm, in the area of corporate and commercial law.

Courtney Lynn

SVP, Corporate Development, Investor Relations & Sustainability

Ms. Lynn serves as Senior Vice President, Corporate Development, Investor Relations and Sustainability of the Company. Ms. Lynn previously served as Vice President & Treasurer at Kaiser Aluminum Corp. and as VP, Investor Relations & Treasurer at Coeur Mining, Inc. Prior to joining Coeur, Ms. Lynn worked in investment and corporate banking at Bear Stearns and JP Morgan, advising Metals & Mining clients on capital markets activities as well as mergers and acquisitions. Ms. Lynn has been a member of the LBMA Precious Metals Oversight Committee since 2017 and previously served as a member of the LBMA Silver Price Oversight Committee. Ms. Lynn holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Finance and Economics from New York University's Stern School of Business.

Brett Hannigan

VP, Business Development & Evaluations

Mr. Hannigan serves as Vice President, Business Development and Evaluations of the Company. He has 15 years of experience in the mining industry and joined the Company in January 2020, holding positions in corporate development, investor relations and sustainability. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Hannigan worked in investment banking at BMO Capital Markets, supporting metals and mining clients in various capital market endeavours. Mr. Hannigan started his career as a geologist working on greenfield exploration projects globally. Mr. Hannigan holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Simon Fraser University.

Michael Hocking

VP, Exploration

Mr. Hocking serves as Vice President, Exploration of the Company. He has over 20 years of experience in mineral exploration and asset evaluations and joined the company in June 2024. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Hocking was a Consulting Economic Geologist with Acasta Partners in London, UK, where he evaluated mining and exploration projects globally and has also held roles with Scotiabank Global Banking and Markets, Pembrook Mining Corp, and was part of the Lake Shore Gold exploration team that discovered the Timmins West and Thunder Creek mines. Mr. Hocking’s exploration experience includes work in the Abitibi greenstone belt, the Sudbury Basin, northern Mexico, the Peruvian Andes, and the BC Cordillera. He has conducted research on modern seafloor ore-forming systems in the Mediterranean Sea, New Zealand, and the West Pacific. Mr. Hocking holds an M.Sc. in Earth Science from the University of Ottawa and a B.Sc from Laurentian University. He is a registered Professional Geologist and a Fellow of the Society of Economic Geologists.

Eric Sye

VP, Finance

Mr. Sye serves as Vice President, Finance of the Company. Mr. Sye has more than 15 years of financial management experience in the mining industry, particularly in relation to M&A, financial and managerial reporting, business planning and analysis and corporate governance. Prior to joining Ero in 2021, he served as the Director of Finance at First Majestic Silver Corp. and held various roles at TSX/NYSE listed mining companies with operations in Latin America. Mr. Sye is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Simon Fraser University.
